Thursday 30 December 2010

Whilst out for a walk yesterday we noticed all these pidgeons on one roof - not sure why that roof in particular!

The Church in my home town.

Sunday 26 December 2010

Quite a spectacular view I am sure you will agree!

Saturday 25 December 2010

There was so much lovely snow around....it had to be done!!!!

Friday 24 December 2010

It's like an Alien.  I found this in my parents back garden.  They had a lot of snow for a long time - which nicely gave us a white christmas - just the way it should be!

Thursday 23 December 2010

Ch ch ch check it out - one of my christmas presents from D.  It lights up on both sides.  And now I am actually looking forward to it raining!  Yes I know it's not Christmas yet but as we were away for Christmas we had our own mini christmas just before!

Wednesday, 22 December 2010

It's almost christmas!!!

And I am taking a wee break from this computer - how will I survive haha - Happy Christmas everyone and I intend to eat, drink and be merry - so um - put hair on this buddha and give it a little more modesty and hey presto - it's a post christmas me - well lets hope not actually......

Tuesday 21st December 2010

It looks like a grey and dreary ugly tower block but this is infact a place I once called home - right in the heart of London, one block from Regents Park and  oh my god if those walls could talk - there will always be fond memories attached to this place, despite it's initial appearance.

A blanket of snow

A lovely blanket of snow just waiting for my footprints!

Friday 17th December 2010

I looked out of the window at work and there was about 2 snowflakes falling from the sky - a really pathetic attempt.  Then I heard someone squeal that it was snowing - I assumed they were exaggerating and looked up and there within the blink of an eye was a covering of snow all over the ground.  This carried on for 15 minutes - the biggest snow flakes I have ever seen!

Thursday, 16 December 2010

Twinkle twinkle little cupcake!

The best fairy lights ever! Sweets, Cupcakes and Icecream!!!!

Wednesday 15th December 2010

So this is how rainbows are created!

Tuesday 14th December 2010

Just one little corner of my work with a lovely christmas display up and yours truely in the mirror!

Monday, 13 December 2010

It's all in the eye of the beholder

I was flicking through a magazine and had to laugh - ok so it did say that Cinderella dropped one of her slippers but where is the fun in that!?!?!

Sunday 12th December 2010

This was taken in Stratford-upon-Avon but I cant help thinking that seeing as there was snow everywhere it actually looks like the picture is upside down!

Friday, 10 December 2010

D turned photographer on the train back from Newcastle

And considering it's a moving train - the results are beyond amazing!

Thursday, 9 December 2010

Red sky at night......

Such a lovely sunset from the kitchen at work - at first it looked like the world was upside down and that that clouds were snow - then slowly the pink spread across.  Pretty!

Monday 7th December 2010

DUCK!!!! The random things you find growing in flowerpots!

Monday 6th December 2010

Icy spiderswebs really show up how much cleaning there is to do......or rather just what little works of art those webs really are.

Sunday 5th December 2010

The snow started to melt and in its place was this lovely frost! Everywhere looked very fairylandish - I approve!!!!!

Saturday 4th December 2010

Coughton Court - heavily linked to either Guy Fawkes - rumour has it he plotted his attack somewhere in this lovely building.

Friday 3rd December 2010

This little fella looks out over my parents garden.  I had a lovely long weekend back home so thought he could come and say hello!

Fairy Snuff

These gorgeous dresses appear at work each Christmas and there are some lovely intricate wings attached that you can just about work out in the picture.  Every time I walk past I get the urge to get changed into them and pretend nothing is out of the ordinary.

Wednesday, 1 December 2010

Ah it's snow more!!!

Overnight we had a fresh snow fall but alas it's not sticking around - this is the garden at work - with the snow slowly fading away.  It's weird that just a few miles away they have over of 6 inches of snow everywhere.

Narnia!

Ok well not quite but this is what I woke up to this morning ☺

Monday, 29 November 2010

I feel watched!

I may've been a bit wobbly on my feet by this stage but.......

Sunday 28 November 2010

So long my friend! This is Toni and the adorable baby Francis at their leaving do - they are going back to NZ.  It's been a pleasure.......

Saturday, 27 November 2010

Ain't it sweet!

Lovely words I thought, so I bought it to go in my new picture frame.

Friday 26 November 2010

It really was freezing.  The tops of the cars looked lovely, I decided to walk over and take a picture of the roof and as I got close I saw this had been written ☺

Thursday, 25 November 2010

Sorry but I think it's worth it

Not my picture I know but I think this deserves it's place on here all the same.

Wednesday, 24 November 2010

It's the sentiment.....

I liked the picture so much I had to print it and frame it - and I personally think it's cute!

Tuesday, 23 November 2010

You may think I am too old.......

to have just bought this but oh how wrong you will be! In  my thoughts of whether to do a childrens writing course or not I started to think about the great books I'd read as a child - the enchanted wood would have to win hands down but st clare's - oh how it did mean something to my youth....so in the interest of research.......

Monday, 22 November 2010

I bought a juicer.  And I love it. Now I need to save to invest in a really really good one.  Many people think it'll cost too much, and I personally never get round to actually eating enough fruit but making smoothies and juices is a great way to get your vitamins in and all this lot cost me a whole £5 that's all.

Sunday 21 November 2010

This is modern carving in Chislehurst Caves just outside of London.  A lovely day out.

Saturday 20 November 2010

D had to go to the Kent Coast and he spotted this sign and sent it to me - so not my photo but I was very impressed so you know....it just had to be photo of the day.

Friday, 19 November 2010

Never had I realised just how pretty bath water was before!

Thursday, 18 November 2010

Jack Frost is here again

Sticking the leaves to the cars as they fell......I hear snow is on its way next week - so it's probably safe to say that winter is here then.

Wednesday, 17 November 2010

Greens might not always be good for you.....

And I am about to drink this by choice.  It's true - the green health drinks really do taste like mud...unless you add grapes....guess who forgot the grapes!?!

Tuesday 16 November 2010

Brrr first frost of the wintery season!!!!

Monday, 15 November 2010

Let there be light!!

There is an amazing light shop near me.  This really doesn't do them justice.  It's safe to say they are pretty mad and huge...and no doubt very expensive!  They look like alien sea creatures to me.

Sunday, 14 November 2010

Narnia and Turkish Delight are all about Christmas

And just look at what the theme is for the Christmas lights in Bond Street.  I was more than impressed!!!

Saturday 13 November 2010

One of the more interesting Christmas displays in London - got to love Liberties.
