Don't judge a book by its cover.

This is a lovely piece of Jade.  Thing is the outside of the stone is absolutely unremarkable - you probably wouldn't even look twice at it if you saw it unsplit.  I think that symbol is quite powerful.  It doesn't look like much from the outside but is truely amazing on the inside.   If only all humans could be open to each other in the same way.

It's about as British as I could get

Outside Buckinghmam Palace. It's even more British than tea!!

There is no need for me to explain why this is my picture of the day...........I know that makes no sense to anyone else but me and the two M's....but trust me, they're worth a photo of the day....they've been there for me in the very true sense of the word friendship and I don't think many people can really honestly say that.

Where does it go...nobody knows!

When I was a child I had a picture on my wall, one of those really old school foil pictures - I think I won it at the fair...or something like that.  Anyway, before going to sleep each night I would look at this picture - it showed a river meandering down through some trees, so each night, in my head, I would set off on a little adventure down this river - never knowing where it would go.  This view took me right back there for a moment.

Sunshine on a rainy day makes my soul makes my soul drip drip away

Although it didn't rain - hoorah for a sunny spell! The whole of London looked awash with a rainbow of colours as people dressed up in their prettiest summer clothing. But alas I always lament that why is the big big people take their tops off with the first hint of sun!?!!

The new generation

I met my friend Toni and her lovely little boy Francis for dinner today. The new generation sure looks cute from where I'm sitting, although I thought I'd have trouble making baby Francis sit still for a photo he was throwing poses straight away - mom on the other hand moved and now it looks like a drunk took the picture - oh well - imperfections can be a good thing.

Alice through the windowpane

There's a lovely, all be it stupidly expensive shop down the road from where I live. Their window displays are always pretty but this time they excelled themselves!

The morning after the night before

Incredibly sunny day and the after math of an Alice in Wonderland themed party....still looks quite pretty if you ask me!

Quite literally everywhere, as long as you class Central London as everywhere! I went for a meal with my friends Sophie and Niamh and I knew about 250 elephants had been placed around London to help raise awareness of the plight of the poor Asian Elephant. I was determined to find one and with that many in the area I didn't have to search for long. I had a map but being a girl I couldn't find them reading the map I did indeed just stumble upon them whilst showing Sophie the delights of Ella's bakehouse.

Alice in Woodland

This project has already made me wonder what I'll be able to take pictures of every day during the week and whilst out on a walk at lunchtime I found I was taking in so much more than usual - so already this blog is doing it's job. I stumbled across a little gated communal garden - where someone had been getting creative......

Would you like a butterfly with your drink?

I became a lady that lunches and had lunch out with my friend Ana, who appeared to be able to turn lemons into butterflies!

Wednesday is all about the Jet-Pack

Some of you may recall that my younger brother is in a band called Jet-Pack and they were in a competition - they had to win the unsigned bands section of Rock Radio for 4 weeks in a row - not an easy task but they did it - so now they get to go to the radio station to do a live acoustic set - I couldn't be a happier - prouder sister!

This is one of the most boy of plants that exists - a Carnivorous plant - my other half has developed quite a fascination for growing these and they are slowly taking over my lounge so have become a part of my life - like it or not (between me and this blog they are quite interesting but shhh don't tell him that!)

Sunday 16/05 and Monday 17/05

This picture sums up a lot about me and is the top shelf of my bookcase.

This is my desk - the subject being tea in teacups, music and books.

Aliblahblah strikes again

Some of you know me from my other blog - and those that don't.....hello ☺

The purpose of this blog is to start a photo a day for a year or maybe more, maybe more than one a day and maybe more than for a year. Who knows. Right now it's just about trying to make sure I don't just travel from A to B but that I always have my eyes open and notice the little things around me.

The journey can be more rewarding than the end result.
